Richardson – Kitzhaber KOBI-TV Debate & Rally: 10/20

On Monday evening, October 20, there will be live debate between Representative Dennis Richardson and Governor John Kitzhaber on KOBI-TV Channel 5 in Medford at 7:00 pm.

We are asking PCPs and volunteers to meet at the Jackson County Republican headquarters in Medford, 311 E. Main, at 5:15 pm to pick up Richardson signs and walk to the KOBI studios.

The Democrats will turn out a large number of people to support Kitzhaber, so we want to have as large a turnout as possible in support of Dennis Richardson. The media will cover the rally, and we need be there to support Dennis. Dennis will greet us at the pre-debate rally at KOBI prior to 6:00 pm.

The rally participants will return to the JCRP office for a Debate Watching Party, and Dennis will join us after the debate. We will have pizza and beverages provided for the party.

If you can, please RSVP to Jeanie Schmeusser at 541-772-5610 so that we have an idea of the number of Richardson supporters we can expect.

Election Results Party – May 20

Join us on Tuesday, May 20, at the Republican Campaign Headquarters to watch the Primary Election Results!

We’ll start at 5:00 PM and stay until the election results are in (around 9:00).

We’ll be cooking up bcrats on the BBQ and having pot luck for everything else. So bring a dessert, appetizer, snack, or side dish, and prepare for an evening of fun and celebration!

Some of our Republican candidates will be there with us to watch the election results roll in.

Need Volunteers for Campaign Headquarters

The Josephine County Republican Campaign Headquarters is up and running, and we need your help! Current hours are from 12:00 – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

In order to keep the doors open, we need people who can spend some time at the headquarters on a regular (or semi-regular) basis. No special skills are required. Just be friendly and welcoming and hand out campaign literature to people who stop in.

Later, we’ll be needing volunteers with cell phones to help with the Get Out The Vote campaign.

Vivien Kirkpatrick-Pilger is coordinating our volunteers this year so, if you can volunteer, either as a campaign headquarters staffer or as a GOTV caller, please e-mail Vivian at vivkirk@yahoo.com, or call her at Campaign Headquarters, 507-1467.

If you plan to stop by headquarters, please call first. Vivian’s office is in the back and she can’t see who’s coming in, so she’s keeping the door locked until we have more volunteers to staff the front.

Meet ORP Chairman Allen Alley, 10/24

Oregon Republican Party Chairman Allen Alley will be in Grants Pass on Wednesday, October 24!

You can meet him at Elmer’s Restaurant, 175 Agness Ave, at noon for a no-host luncheon, and/or at the Republican Campaign Headquarters, 326 SW 6th St, at 2:00 PM.

Allen is a real visionary, and he’ll be happy to answer your questions about the future of the Republican Party in Oregon and about our Get Out The Vote campaign.

This is a critical election year, and Allen is travelling around the state making sure we all have the motivation and information we need to elect Republicans in our local, state, and national races!

Debate Watching Party, October 3

Please join the Josephine County Republicans to watch the first presidential debate on Wednesday, October 3 at Joe’s Bar & Grill, 820 NE E St, Grants Pass (next to Staples). The debate starts at 6:00 PM, so you might want to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 to order food and drinks. We’ve reserved a private viewing area, and there’s sure to be a lively discussion following the debate!

James Buchal Fly-In Rally – CANCELED

Unfortunately, this event had to be canceled due to the pilot getting ill. We wish him a speedy recovery, and hope to see James Buchal soon!

Republican candidate for state Attorney General, James Buchal will attend a fly-in meet & greet rally at the Grants Pass Airport in Merlin this Sunday. His arrival is scheduled for 4:30 PM, the rally will begin at 4:00 PM.

Come and hear Buchal’s ideas on how state agencies that regulate our growth and development can be reined in. He also has exciting ideas on how the state can help with out of control federal resource agencies. This is a great candidate with great ideas and presenting a great opportunity. You won’t wan to miss this!

Signs and bumper stickers will be available.

The Grants Pass Airport is at 1441 Brookside Blvd in Merlin. Take exit 61 and continue North on Monument Dr to Brookside Blvd. Turn left on Brookside.
